Fix Toilet

Next on your Honey Do list - Fix Toilet!

OK, I realize we are talking about the Toilet. Not the most sexy topic of conversation, however it is something we are all familiar with and something that each one of us will need to 'FIX' at one point or another.

In a typical fix toilet project you'll call out the plumber, they'll spend a few minutes giggling the handle, taking the lid off of the tank, looking inside, playing with the water, let's face it, (no disrespect to plumbers - I've used them for projects as well) but my kids can giggle the handle, take the lid off the tank and play with the water - and they're FREE.

The only difference is that my kids don't have a clue as to what they are doing.

When I started looking at the toilet, I was probably like my kids as well - however, over time, I've been able to learn how to do my fix toilet projects and in the process, save a boat load of money.

While the toilet may be considered the 'thinking chair', 'the office', the 'Throne', or the 'Porcelain god', You don't have to be royalty in order to do this home repair project.

I'm going to show you how to easily and cheaply fix your toilet.

I'll be covering the most common challenges as well as step-by-step instruction on how to fix them.

The problem usually is in the tank and can be fixed rather quickly - and very cheaply as well (we always like the cheap fixes).

On these pages, I'll cover the main reason that a toilet keeps running as well as the most common (and cheapest) ways to fix it.

Before we jump too far into talking about flappers and chains and floats and things that sound like a clash between dance clubs of the 20's and the 80's, some of you might want to go through the basics of your toilet first before jumping in.

And now it is on to the most common problems of this do it yourself project.
